Local Community Service is Back!
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie hosted our first Local Community Service project in over a year and we had a great turn-out for our Lake Road "Adopt-A-Road" clean-up event. Volunteers cleaned up around the Rowe Middle School campus and along SE Lake Rd in Milwaukie.
If you or your organization would like to learn more about how you can get involved in making your community a better place, please visit us for lunch at an upcoming club meeting or contact our Local Community Service Chair for more details on how you can get involved.

Thank You 2020 - 2021 Club President Bruce Weaver!
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie welcomed our incoming 2021 - 2022 Club President Paul M. Geske at today's final meeting of the Rotary-year. We'd also like to thank out-going Club President Bruce Weaver for his outstanding service to the club during this incredibly unusual year.
Bruce has been a terrific leader for our club as we've navigated the challenges brought on by the Covid pandemic that have required a venue-change, resolving virtual & hybrid meeting formats, managing & retaining club membership, and host of other unforeseen issues. Despite these challenges, our club has still managed to continue with our robust Local Community Service projects & funding of more than $20,000 to local groups/organizations that make a real impact in our community; continued financial to support World Community Service projects; and continue our scholarship programing for our Milwaukie High School students.
Thanks for your leadership during this past year Bruce!
CONGRATULATIONS JENNA STEIN!
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie Foundation is pleased to present this year's $5,000 Howard Anderson/Tim DeShields Scholarship to Milwaukie High School's Jenna Stein. Jenna has excelled academically, in extracurricular activities and through a variety of community service pursuits while a student at Milwaukie High School. She plans on attending the University of Colorado-Boulder to study engineering. Congratulations Jenna!

2020 "Dodge Fathers" Team
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie's DodgeBall Team, "The Dodge Fathers" were excited to again participate in Milwaukie High School's "Milwaukie Cares" Week Annual DodgeBall Tournament. This year's event raised funds for local Habitat For Humanity & Northwest Housing Alternatives "Annie Ross House". Thanks to all our team players and friends who came out to support this event!

Rowe Middle School "Food For Success"
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie, Oregon was pleased to present Rowe Middle School a check for $2,000 to support their "Food For Success" program. "Food For Success" provides all students nutrient-rich snacks throughout the day to help foster better focus & learning, that may otherwise be inhibited by a lack of food; a problem faced by a great number of students who live with food-insecurity everyday. The Rotary Club of Milwaukie's Local Community Service Committee provided $1,000; combined with a matching Rotary District 5100 Grant of $1,000.
If you'd like to learn more about how you or your organization can help support this program, please contact Rowe's Social Worker, Harry Applebaum at apelbaumh@nclack.k12.or.us
"Feed the Hungry" Local Community Service Project!
