LoveOne Milwaukie seeks to bring economic relief by giving the individual or family the option to redirect funds toward food, medical, gas or transportation costs as well as school supplies and other basic, everyday necessities. They accomplish this by providing up to 3 loads of clean laundry to participants, as well as providing a warm meal, toiletries and other resources.
Volunteers serve a variety of roles; serving food, handing out toiletries & other essential items, managing laundry resources, and by simply providing a friendly reminder to those in need that we care.

The Rotary Club of Milwaukie is excited to announce that we are partnering with "Operation Gratitude" this year to help collect your unwanted Halloween candy to then be distributed to deployed troops, local military units, veterans & first responders! So after all your ghouls & goblins have had their fill or if you'd like a meaningful alternative to snacking on the leftovers in your candy-bowl, please consider donating to this terrific cause. We will take your donations at our regular club meetings on Tuesday, November 2nd & Tuesday, November 9th. The Rotary Club of Milwaukie meets at Milwaukie Floral & Garden at 12:00 noon (3306 SE Lake Rd.), so please drop off any store-bought, wrapped, unwanted/unused goodies that you'd like to share. |

The Rotary Club of Milwaukie is excited to be able to again help out our friends at the Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation and support their "Shop With A Cop" event. "Shop With A Cop" pairs elementary school children throughout Clackamas County with local law enforcement officers to participate in a $100 shopping spree. This year's event will be held at the Clackamas Fred Meyer! Children are selected by thier school district representatives (Counselors, Resource Officers, etc) and typically have had some previous contact with law enforcement or family members who have had interactions. Volunteers are needed to assist in gift-wrapping the items these students purchase or other support roles during the event (shuttling carts, etc). If you'd like to help out at this year's event, please sign up at the link provided. |

RYLA Program
Mar 29, 2022
RYLA is a week-long leadership retreat designed to grow and encourage service-oriented leaders within our communities. Participant attendance is sponsored by local Rotary clubs. The program dedicates time to take a holistic approach to leadership development. During the week it covers everything from family and relationships to personal finance and professional development. While there is a full day that's dedicated as "professional day," there are themes that run through the whole week which have an immediate and lasting impact on professional development. For those just entering the workforce and growing their careers, there is a wealth of value. Learn more at: http://www.ryladistrict5100.org/ |
