Mich Nelson (aka Chef Michie) leads a volunteer dinner project at a transitional housing shelter

Mich Nelson (aka Chef Michie) has led a volunteer dinner project at a transitional housing shelter for men since 2014. Twice per month, she and her team of volunteers shop for, prepare, and serve an average of 60-70 guys. The team focuses on providing healthy, nutritious meals, incorporating lean proteins, lower fats, and lower sodium. Mich is the author of "Community Cooking: Stories and Meals from the Clark Center Kitchen All Stars."
