On December 10th, the Rotary Club of Milwaukie is bringing together some of our community’s favorite bars, restaurants, and coffee shops for Pints for Polio—a one-day, citywide effort to help end polio for good.
Simply visit one of the participating businesses below & for every pint sold, ~$1 will be donated to The Rotary Foundation’s PolioPlus Program, supporting vaccinations, surveillance, and life-saving response efforts around the world. Some donations vary by location and every cent counts towards eradicating Polio!
This year’s partners include:
-
pFriem

The Beer Store
-

-

-
Milwaukie Bowl
-

-
The Office Bar
-
Wind Horse Coffee – supporting Cup of Joe for Polio with 50¢ donated per coffee sold
Why It Matters
Polio is a paralyzing and potentially fatal disease, but thanks to decades of coordinated global vaccination efforts—led in large part by Rotary International—we are closer than ever to eradicating it. Today, polio remains endemic in only a couple of countries, and continued support is critical to ensure it is eliminated everywhere.
“We are this close” to achieving one of the greatest public health victories in history.
How You Can Help
On December 10th, simply visit any participating Milwaukie location and enjoy a pint (or a coffee!) to support the cause. Your purchase helps fund life-saving vaccines for children around the world.
If you’re unable to join us in person, please consider making a donation today to support Rotary’s ongoing fight to end polio.
