We need your help in labeling & distributing bars of soap with the National Trafficking Hotline # & text # to local motels in our area where Human Trafficking has been known to occur. S.O.A.P. stands for “Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution” and is a hands-on outreach to fight sex trafficking at large events and in communities. The S.O.A.P. Project is specifically focused on educating and increasing awareness in the public on the prevalence of human trafficking, in order to restore trafficked survivors and to prevent teens from being victimized by domestic, minor, sex trafficking. Help us offer the soap free-of-charge to motels along with training to be able to identify and report sex trafficking when they see it in their establishments. Your help is needed! The Friends of the Ledding Library need our club's assistance moving about 80-100 folding tables on Sunday, June 24th at 5:00 pm; following their Annual Book Sale.
The move would be from the Portland Waldorf School Gym (2300 SE Harrison St. Milwaukie 97222)
across the street to The Ledding Library Pond House (2215 SE Harrison St, Milwaukie 97222).
The Ledding Library plans on using the money saved from the Rotary Club's volunteering
to purchase children's books to give each child who signs up for the Summer Reading program one book to take home with them.
