Ames Meat Research food truck has a new home in front of Milwaukie Floral. Members and guests can order dinner ahead of time online or in-person on Thursday, November 17. The Rotary Club of Milwaukie & Milwaukie Rotary Club Foundation is selling Holiday Wreaths & Hanging Baskets to raise funds supporting our Local Community Service Projects; including LoveOne Milwaukie, Feed the Hungry, NCSD-"Oregon Battle of the Books", Hillside Family Holiday Event & more!

Your help is needed to work our club's booth at the Special Thanksgiving Sunday Farmer's Market on Sunday, November 20th, from 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM.  Volunteers will hand out pre-paid/purchased wreaths & hanging baskets, as well as sell to the general public that is shopping at the Special Thanksgiving Sunday Farmers Market!

There are 2 shifts available, so pick one or both and help our club & spread some holiday cheer!

Bringing Happpiness and Stability to Foster Children Communities

What is BOB and how our local communities work together and how we can all help!

The Rotary Club of Milwaukie is excited to participate in the Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation's annual "Shop With A Cop" event again.  CCPOBF will be helping 200 children from Clackamas County this year. They will be paired with a law enforcement officer to shop. Participants in SWAC have had enforcement contact with police or require assistance for a variety of reasons. Sometimes this may involve an adult family member or older sibling who may have been arrested.

Volunteers are needed to work in the "wrapping room" and will wrap the gifts that each child selects!

This is a fun, family-friendly opportunity to make a great impact in our community & spread some holiday cheer!

The City of Milwaukie's "Umbrella Parade & Holiday Tree Lighting" Event is back and the Rotary Club of Milwaukie is excited to again provide volunteers to pass out hot chocolate & cookies to the parade participants and on-lookers!

This fun, family-friendly holiday event is a great opportunity for help make an impact on our community and spread some holiday cheer!

Join us on Sunday, December 11 at 11:00 AM to celebrate the holidays at Milwaukie Bowl (3056 SE Harrison St, Milwaukie, OR 97222). This is a family friendly event that is open to all Club members, their families and guests.

Bowling (1 game per person), shoes, and food will be provided.

Please bring a White Elephant Gift ($20 and under) to participate in our annual gift exchange.

We will also be collecting gift cards for participants at A Village for One. Gift card examples: Starbucks, Target, Chipotle, etc. The amount loaded on the gift card is up to you.

Please join us on Tuesday, January 17 at our regular club meeting when we welcome Sarah Roberts with Oki Doki (okidoki.world). Oki Doki is a small, woman-owned manufacturing company based in Portland that assists financially disadvantaged individuals, who for a variety of reasons are unable to find & keep employment in traditional away-from-home-employment, with the means to produce products from their own homes.

Join us in downtown Milwaukie at Chan's Steakery, in their bar, for a special 'Happy Hour' event on January 19th. Chan's will be hosting Karaoke special for us on this night starting at 7:00PM. Please bring a guest! Even if you don't karaoke come along to cheer on your fellow club members and just have a great time enjoying each other's company. There will be appetizers and the club will purchase guests' first drink. Please RSVP by signing up so we can have a head count for food and to let Chan's know how many to expect. See you all there!

Please join us Tuesday, February 14th at our regular club meeting when we welcome Nathan Christ, ASPIRE Coordinator with the North Clackamas School District. ASPIRE can help students explore education options, assist with college applications and essays, help meet deadlines, and provide resources for scholarships and financial aid. Nathan will also provide information opportunities for our members & guests can volunteer to help "mentor" students using the ASPIRE resources.

Please join us Tuesday, February 21st at our regular club meeting when we welcome Zach Skiles, a former marine & Iraq veteran, who completed his doctorate in clinical psychology & has been working with veterans for over a decade at VAs & private clinics Zach's remarkable story, featured recently in the November 2022 Rotary magazine (www.rotary.org/en/home-war-hard-won-struggle-find-peace) will be highlighted for our members & guests.

Join us at our next Rotary Club Social at Arrivederci Wine & Jazz. Light appetizers will be provided, and you are welcome to buy other food and drinks. As always, bring a guest and we'll buy their first beverage. Visitors and guests are always welcome to join in our club socials!

Please join us on Tuesday, February 28 at our regular club meeting when we welcome fellow Milwaukie Rotarian, Colleen Rockwell as our featured speaker. Colleen will be presenting to our club on "Supporting the environment & how our club can participate", as well as updating us on her developing local community service project that involves our club's adoption of a Main St. landscaping parklet!

Join us Saturday, March 4th at the Rowe Middle School parking lot for our quarterly clean up of SE Lake Rd. and around the Rowe Middle School & Milwaukie High School campuses.  All tools & equipment will be provided at this family-friendly event. Just dress weather appropriately!

Bee's, Butterflies, Lady Bugs, and other pollinators will love us for this work!!!

John Wentworth is the Clackamas County District Attorney (DA), and joined the office in 1999 after a four-year tenure as a deputy district attorney in Coos County. A Clackamas High School graduate, John is proud to call Clackamas County home again.  John will discuss what the DA's office is doing to address current criminal justice issues & homelessness in our county.
